Total nitrogen (TN) refers to the sum of dissolved netrogen and suspended nitrogen in water, including nitrite nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, inorganic ammonium salts, dissolved ammonia, and nitrogen jin most organic nitrogen-containing compounds.

The monitor has the functions of controlling the water sample collection automatically, high temperature digestion, reaction measurement, data processing and data transmission, which can finish the whole process of total nitrogen analysis of wastewater fast, continuously and automatically.

According to alkaline potassium persulfate UV spectrophotometric method, in the conditions of 120~124℃, the alkaline potassium persulfate solution is used as the oxidant to convert the nitrogen of nitrogen compounds in the sample into nitrates. The nitrates can react with the reagents to generate light-yellow nitro compounds, which can be measured by UV spectrophotometry.
