Total phosphate refers to the sum of orthophosphate, pyrophosphate, metaphosphate, polyphosphate and organic phosphate in water. It is the result of the determination of various forms of phosphorus converted into orthophosphate after high temperature digestion of water sample.

The monitor has the functions of controlling the water sample collection automatically, high temperature digestion, reaction measurement, data processing and data transmission, which can finish the whole process of total phosphate analysis of wastewater fast, continuously and automatically.

According to the ammonium molybdate spectrophotometry, in the acid solution, the decomposer, potassium persulfate, converts polyphosphate and organic phosphorus into orthophosphate. The orthophosphate reacts with ammonium molybdate to form a yellow phosphomolybdate antimony complex, the complex is reduced to phosphomolybdate blue by ascorbic acid, and then the content of phosphate is determined by the total phosphate monitor.
